Hello reader,

Setback after setback after setback, Indonesia is officially out of World Cup qualifying contention. This comes after yesterday’s defeat to Iraq, which mathematically ruled out Indonesia’s chances of qualifying for next year’s biggest sporting event in the world.

New players, new coaches, still the same old story. Well, to be fair, this is the furthest Indonesia has gone in a World Cup qualifying campaign. Dare we hope for 2030?
