The KPK has lost yet another tooth in the struggle against corruption, with a new law now preventing the anti-graft agency from investigating SOE executives. Why? Because they’re now no longer considered as state officials.

KPK’s narrowed jurisdiction is today’s big story, coming with other sizzling developments from Indonesia, including possible political interference in the military and the country stockpiling rice by record amounts.
