Hello reader,

Mount Semeru is one of Indonesia’s most active volcanoes — and one of its deadliest. The volcano erupted again yesterday, forcing hundreds to seek shelter away from possible follow-up eruptions. Here’s hoping everybody stays safe in that region.

In Jakarta, KPK showed us what IDR 300 billion in cash looked like. It wasn’t even the entirety of the money seized from a corruption case. They just ran out of space to stack more bills.
