Constitutional Court levels the playing field

Hello reader,

Just as people began to lose faith in Indonesian democracy, mostly due to KIM Plus, the Constitutional Court swooped in to restore hope once again.

The top court today ruled that political parties can now nominate candidates in regional elections without having to necessarily hold seats in the Regional Legislative Council (DPRD). PDI-P, one of the few major parties standing in KIM Plus’ way of total dominance, is certainly all smiles now.
