Microplastics big problem in Jakarta's rainwater

Hello reader,

When we think about plastic contamination in water, we’d immediately think about plastics polluting our oceans and rivers. Well now plastic is in our rainwater, too.

Scientists have detected microplastics in rainwater across Jakarta, which could be harmful to humans if inhaled or ingested. So now we’re being urged to mask up… when it rains.

Between that and falling giant trees, I’m staying in.

Cheers,

Andra
