Indonesia slides in latest corruption index

Hello readers,

Appearances don’t necessarily tell the whole story, but they can’t be indicative of underlying problems. And in terms of corruption under President Prabowo’s administration, the optics aren’t great.

Indonesia slid in Transparency International’s latest Corruption Perception Index, which is something this country traditionally hasn’t looked good in. But now we look slightly worse, with a corruption watchdog offering theories as to why just below. Read on.
