Labor unions reject government's new formula

Hello reader,

It’s a struggle as old as time: labor unions have once again rejected the government’s proposal for new minimum wages at the provincial level next year. In short, they argue that guidelines for the new rates still won’t outpace rising living costs.

As key cogs in the great machine of society, one hopes that they will get their fair dues. Elsewhere, Prabowo wants to expand palm oil cultivation in Papua, Aceh’s residents are waving literal white flags, and a weightlifting superstar breaks a world record.

Cheers,

Andra
