I hope you’ve had a very patriotic Independence Day weekend!

So much happened over the past couple of days. Aside from huge political news (like President Jokowi reshuffling his cabinet for the last time), the biggest story has to be the release of Jessica Wongso on parole.

Even those who didn’t live in Indonesia in 2016 would have heard of this particular murder case, in which Jessica was found guilty of poisoning her friend by slipping cyanide into her coffee.

Though she is now out of prison, this does not look to be the end for Jessica as she seems keen on clearing her name. More on this latest development below.
