Gov't mulls overhaul to pilgrimage queue system

Hello reader,

Hajj is a spiritual journey most Muslims have to make in their lives, but in Muslim-majority Indonesia, the queue to go to the revered holy land can take literal decades.

Now, the government is considering a major overhaul that may possibly involve a “ticket war” system, with Hajj slots becoming up for grabs annually. It may sound like a recipe for chaos, but might this beat waiting 40-plus years?

One thing we don’t have to wait for is the weekend, as it is now upon us. Have a fantastic one, and I’ll see you back here on Monday.

Cheers,

Andra
