Hello reader,

How quickly could you forgive someone after a betrayal? Well, in the case of Indonesian politics, forgiveness may come very quickly, indeed.

After all that went down in the past few months between President Joko Widodo and PDI-P, few would have expected that the party would endorse his youngest son to lead one of the country’s largest provinces.

The November regional elections sure are going to be spicy. More on that just below.
