Can't fire lawmakers | November 27, 2025

Hello reader,

A major update in Indonesian politics: the Constitutional Court has struck down a petition seeking to allow citizens to directly dismiss underperforming lawmakers. Looks like we really have to be mindful of who we vote into parliament.

But then again, we’ve not been exactly spoiled for choice. Nothing changes, then.
