Airfares take off | April 13, 2026

Hello reader,

It seemed unavoidable, and airfares for both domestic and international flights are climbing well beyond their typical prices. Even with pricing safeguards the government had put in place, there doesn’t seem to be anyway around making up for rising jet fuel prices, triggered by a certain geopolitical conflict.

Time for a road trip to see all the beauty this country has to offer, then? Fuel prices haven’t spiked. At least not yet.
