Abort the passport | July 18, 2025

Hello reader,

Next month was supposed to be special for Indonesian travelers. For the first time, we were going to get red-and-white passport covers, replacing the varying shades of green we have had since the beginning of time.

Alas, that is not happening. Not yet, at least, as the government seems to be focused on other priorities at the moment. Red or green, I’m sure I’m not the only one who wishes for a more powerful passport.
