Hello reader,

Wow, that was an especially long weekend. We’ve got another one coming at the end of this week!

And what a way to return to Nusantara Notes—an amicable get together between two ostensibly opposing political powers. I am, of course, referring to President Prabowo Subianto, leader of the Gerindra party, and former President Megawati Soekarnoputri, whose PDI-P can’t yet themselves decide whether or not they’re an opposition party.

If Gerindra and PDI-P become buddies, where does that leave us?
